Creating The Perfect Ring

Making custom jewellery can be an easy, enjoyable and affordable process. At Anania Family Jewellers, you will be consulting with a team who has the ability and extensive knowledge to transform your ideas into a finished ring, in a way that is comfortable and hands-on. Your participation in the customisation process will vary on the level of involvement you choose (tip: prepare questions for you to ask and tell them about yourself )  This can all be determined at the first “in person” meeting or via email when an image is provided.

Step 1

The Decision

This is the first step of the custom ring making process. At this point, you either have some pictures saved on your phone or some questions you have prepared, some words like “princess cut” or “gemstone” saved in your head, or you have no idea what to do or where to start. Whatever stage you’re in, don’t panic – this is exactly where you’re supposed to start. Step one can be as easy as emailing us some images and input to get the ball rolling or bringing what you have, or don’t have, into the store so we can talk about some designs, look at a variety of finished rings and start narrowing the field to come up with a design that you like. Going into the store is the best option with the finest outcome.

Step 2

The Mock-Up

At this point, you’ve given us enough input/information to draw up a design. We’ll take this design, we will draw it up and then create a 3D model software. Once the computer model is complete. We will email you or call you to bring you into another appointment to discuss further actions.

Step 3

The Inspection

We need you back again! This time you get to see your design come to life. You will be inspecting the 3d mock-up we have done and also view our beautiful illustrations we’ve done for your ring. At this stage, you can begin to fine tune the design.

Once any adjustments are made, we make another model for your inspection. Once the model is perfected, we move to step 4!

Step 4

The Creation

We now need to turn the model into a finished, beautiful ring. This involves casting the ring in the metal of your choice, setting the stones or diamonds and polishing the ring until it is perfect for you.

The final stage is an inspection that covers the finish, stone setting and durability.

Voila! The ring is now ready for your final inspection which brings us to the final step in the process!

Step 5

Time to get excited! Your ring is ready! You’ll now be looking at the finished ring. You will be inspecting and making sure the ring is exactly what you saw and loved in the model from the previous steps.

Mostly, you’ll be happy the ring is perfect and starting to realise that you need to come up with a creative way to get down on one knee; this part is important too…Good Luck! The Thought that you put into proposing, will make the world for her.

When going into an appointment with Daniel, he will asks you several questions to get to know you. He will ask what you do for a living, if you are an active person, your role model etc… and all of the questions you will ask for a custom beautiful ring.

When I meet somebody who’s planning to surprise somebody with an engagement ring in a proposal, what I need to understand is a person who’s not here. So I need to know what kind of work they do, how active they are. If you could describe how they dress, how they decorate, the more I can understand about somebody and your relationship, the easier it is to work with you to find the right elements that go into creating the perfect ring for you.

That’s fitting within your budget that’s fitting within the ideals or the characteristics that you you’re trying to trying to search for there’s a million ways to skin a cat. There’s a million ways to make something work that tells a story, not just a piece.

For the sake of giving a piece, it’s about the thought that counts – Daniel Anania
